Which sank behind the hill and bled;
And lo, the clouds, where day was done,
Looked down upon the blood it shed,
And bandagelike, soaked up some red...

iambs or iambic feet to the line. The iambic foot has two syllables, with
the stress falling on the
second syllable.)
A
sequence of sundown pictures

4:34 p.m., November 16, 2007. Sunset at Germantown Hills, Illinois,
near Route 116 and the old farm market.

4:38 p.m. A cloud suggests a winged or caped person, as if swimming
along, perhaps bearing a smoking torch.

4:41 p.m. A white light is still visible on the clouds as it was a few
minutes ago.

4:46 p.m.

4:51 p.m. Note the yellowish light, a phenomenon that's apparently
what is known as a sun pillar...
